The Company's flagship investment is a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Kerege, Bagamoyo District, Pwani Region. The project occupies approximately six acres of land with a planned factory development of approximately 3,625 square metres, including a 936.5 square metre manufacturing building designed in accordance with WHO Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO-GMP) and TMDA regulatory requirements.
EMEDICS PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED was established in 2018 with a vision of contributing to the growth of Tanzania's pharmaceutical industry and strengthening Africa's capacity to manufacture quality-assured medicines locally. The Company was incorporated as a private limited company under the Companies Act, 2002, and is committed to supporting sustainable healthcare through pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The Company was founded in recognition of the increasing demand for essential medicines across Africa and the need to reduce dependence on imported pharmaceutical products. EMEDICS believes that strengthening local manufacturing is essential for improving medicine security, supporting public health systems, promoting industrial development, and enhancing preparedness for future health emergencies.
